Blue Amaryllis Villas in Santa Maria (Paros)

Blue Amaryllis Villas sits on a hillside above Santa Maria beach in northern Paros, with views over the Aegean Sea to the island of Naxos. The property follows Cycladic architecture: white cubic buildings, flat roofs, and deep blue shutters arranged in a semicircle around a 25-metre pool. Santa Maria beach lies directly below, and water sport facilities are available on site.

All suites face the sea and have a private furnished terrace; suites 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, and 9 have two large terraces with sea views. Coco-Mat beds are in every suite, and Suite No. 6 has a 2.10-metre bed for tall guests. Bathrooms at Blue Amaryllis have mosaic tiles and rain showers, wardrobes use wooden-lamella doors, and every suite has underfloor reversible air conditioning, ceiling fans, and insect screens.

The 25-metre infinity pool at Blue Amaryllis is heated to 26°C, open all year, and runs on electricity from the property's photovoltaic panels. The sun terrace around the pool, facing the Aegean Sea, has 16 colourful sun umbrellas and sun loungers, while the garden is planted with bougainvillea, hibiscus, honeysuckle, and jasmine. A sauna at Blue Amaryllis is available on site, and fruit trees in the garden produce limes, olives, and oranges.

The room rate includes breakfast, soft drinks, and all fees and taxes; breakfast can be served in the room and offers Sissy's homemade jam, Greek yogurt with honey, nuts, and cereals, eggs in every style, and fresh bread from the local baker. Coffee choices include espresso, ristretto, cappuccino, latte, flat white, and lungo, and Darjeeling First Flush is among the teas. On request, the hotel arranges dinner on the large covered terrace with Greek specialties or grilled dishes and wines from the cellar.
